स्वतंत्रता सेनानी श्री बाबू भूरे सिंह (लाड़पुर, मुज़फ़्फ़र नगर)

स्वतन्त्राता सेनानी श्री भूरे सिंह पुत्रा श्री नत्थूसिंह लाडपुर, खतौली मुजफर नगर, रया राजपूतों में अग्रणी पंक्तियों में थे जिनका देश की आजादी तथा समाज और रया राजपूत बिरादरी की सेवा में विशेष योगदान रहा है। 1922 में हाई स्कूल पास करने के बाद आप देश की आजादी के आन्दोलनों में बढ़चढ़ कर हिस्सा लेने लगे। 1929 के लाहौर अधिवेशन में भाग लेने वाले वो पहले राजपूत थे। जिस अधिवेशन की अध्यक्षता पं0 जवाहर लाल नेहरु ने कि थी अंग्रेजी हकुमत के भय के कारण उसमें बहुत ही कम लोग पहुँच पाये थे।
1932 में पहली बार 6 माह के कठोर कारावास तथा 200 रुपये जुर्माना हुआ उन्हें बरेली जेल में रखा गया। सजा काटने के बाद भी वो आजादी की लडाई तथा बिरादरी के लिये कार्य करते रहे 1936 में वो श्री लाल बहादुर शास्त्री जी के निकट सम्पर्क में आयें जो आजादी तथा गांधी जी द्वारा स्थापित हरिजन सेवक संघ के लिये खतौली में कार्य कर रहे थे। उन्होने श्री शास्त्री जी के साथ मिलकर कार्य किया। सुबह अपने घर लाडपुर से दोनों निकल जाते थे और शाम को घर वापस आते थे। ये प्रचार काफी दिनों तक चला। एक बार की घटना है कि शाम को जब ये दोनों वापस घर आ रहे थे तो पुलिस पीछे लग गई श्री शास्त्री जी को लेकर वो खतौली के पास अपने गन्ने के खेत में वो रात भर रहे वही पर खाना कपडा वगैरा जरुरी सामान मगंवाया श्री शास्त्री जी इस घटना को कभी भी भूल नहीं पाये। बाद में जब भी श्री भूरे सिंह उनसे मिलते वो अतित की यादों में खो जाते थे तथा श्री भूरे सिंह कि निडरता तथा सूझ बूझ की बहुत सराहना करते थे। श्री शास्त्री जी जिस विभाग में रहे श्री भूरे सिंह उनके निकट सम्पर्क में रहे। प्रधान मन्त्री बनने के बाद 1965 में सबसे पहली श्री लाल बहादुर शास्त्रत्री जी ने खतौली आने का प्रोग्राम बनाया। श्री भुरे सिंह जी उनसे मिले और अपने घर लाडपुर, चलने का अनेराध किया तो कहने लगे भूरे सिंह मैं वो दिन कैसे भूल सकता हूँ जो मैने आपके यहाँ गुजारे अब समय के अभाव के कारण नहीं जा पाउंगा। परन्तु मैं वायदा करता हूँ जब भी कभी इधर आया तो सूचित कर दूंगा आपके यहाँ जरुर आउंगा।
परन्तु कुछ समय बाद भगवान ने उन्हें छिन लिया इस घटना का श्री भूरे सिंह को बहुत गहरा सदमा पहुंचा काफी दिनों तक वो खोये खोये से रहे। एक परम मित्र खोने का क्या दुख होता है ये उन्होंने महसूस किया। श्री भूरे सिंह 1942 के भारत छोडो आन्दोलन में बढचढकर हिस्सा लेने के कारण दूसरी बार फिर जेल गये। और 6 माह का कठोर कारावास तथा 300 रुपये जुर्माना हुआ। उन्हें बरेली जेल में रखा गया। 15 अगस्त 1972 को तत्कालिन प्रधानमन्त्री श्रीमती इन्दिरा गांधी ने उन्हें देश की आजादी में विशेष योगदान के लिये ताम्रपत्रा भेंट किया तथा आजादी के आन्दोलनों में उनके बलिदान की सराहना कि रया राजपूतों मे ये सम्मान श्री भूरे सिंह जी को प्राप्त हुआ था। आखिरी समय तक केन्द्र तथा राज्य सरकार उन्हें पेंशन देती रहीं। आपका सहयोग सिर्फ आजादी के आन्दोनों तक ही सिमित नही था बिरादरी तथा समाज सेवा में भी उनका विशेष योगदान रहा है। 1945 में रया राजपूत का 17 वा सम्मेलन जो फदलपुर मेरठ में हुआ था उसमें वे कार्यकारिणी के सदस्य चुने गये थे। बिरादरी के कई स्कूलों से जुड़े रहें 10 साल ग्राम लाडपुर के प्रधान रहे बिरादरी तथा गांव की सेवा करते रहे सिर्फ अपनी बिरादरी ही नहीं खतौली जनपद के आसपास जाट गुजर राजपूत बनिया ब्राह्मण मुसलमान सब उनका सम्मान करते थे। और उन्हें नाम न लेकर सब सम्मान से बाबू जी कहकर बुलाते थे। अपने आखिरी समय तक वे समाज सेवा करते हुए वे इस संसार से विदा हुए।

Freedom Fighters Shri Bhure Singh Ladpur, Khatauli Muzaffar Nagar

Freedom fighter Shri Bhure Singh son of Shri Nathu Singh Ladpur, Khatauli Muzaffar Nagar, was in the forefront of Raya Rajputs who have made a special contribution in the freedom of the country and in the service of society and Raya Rajput community. After passing high school in 1922, he started participating actively in the freedom movements of the country. He was the first Rajput to participate in the Lahore session of 1929. The session was presided over by Pandit Jawahar Lal Nehru, due to the fear of the British government, very few people could reach it.
In 1932, for the first time he was sentenced to 6 months of rigorous imprisonment and fined Rs 200 and was kept in Bareilly jail. Even after serving the sentence, he continued to work for the freedom struggle and the community. In 1936, he came in close contact with Shri Lal Bahadur Shastri ji who was working in Khatauli for freedom and the Harijan Sevak Sangh established by Gandhi ji. He worked together with Shri Shastri ji. Both of them used to leave their home in Ladpur in the morning and return home in the evening. This propaganda continued for many days. Once, when both of them were returning home in the evening, the police started following them. They took Mr. Shastri to their sugarcane field near Khatauli and stayed there the whole night. Mr. Shastri could never forget this incident. Later, whenever Mr. Bhure Singh met him, he would get lost in the memories of the past and would greatly appreciate Mr. Bhure Singh's fearlessness and wisdom. Mr. Bhure Singh remained in close contact with Mr. Shastri in whatever department he worked in. After becoming the Prime Minister, Mr. Lal Bahadur Shastri made a program to visit Khatauli for the first time in 1965. Mr. Bhure Singh met him and requested him to go to his home in Ladpur, but he said, "Bhure Singh, how can I forget the days I spent at your place, now I will not be able to go due to lack of time." But I promise that whenever I come here, I will inform you that I will definitely come to your place.
But after some time God took him away. This incident shocked Shri Bhure Singh deeply. He remained lost for many days. He realized the pain of losing a best friend. Shri Bhure Singh went to jail for the second time for taking part in the Quit India Movement of 1942. He was sentenced to 6 months rigorous imprisonment and a fine of Rs. 300. He was kept in Bareilly Jail. On 15th August 1972, the then Prime Minister Mrs. Indira Gandhi presented him a copper plate for his special contribution in the freedom of the country and praised his sacrifice in the freedom movements. Shri Bhure Singh received this honor among the Rajputs. Till the end, the Central and State Governments kept giving him pension. His cooperation was not limited only to the freedom movements. He also made a special contribution in the community and social service. In 1945 he was elected as a member of the executive committee of the 17th Raya Rajput Conference held at Fadalpur, Meerut. He was associated with many schools of the community. He was the head of village Ladpur for 10 years and kept serving the community and the village. Not just his own community but the Jats, Gujjars, Rajputs, Banias, Brahmins and Muslims around Khatauli district all respected him. And everyone respectfully called him Babuji without calling him by name. He left this world while serving the society till his last breath.
